Lose the fat

The Times reports that a woman hit by a Mancunian driver was reprimanded by Greater Manchester Police for using the word "fat" to describe the driver's body shape. Would "obese" have been better?

Thankfully, such stupidity has not yet reached The Times. Mick Hume writes about "the minor problem of fat men misbehaving at football matches"!

I like to use the word 'tubby' or 'lardy-arse' to describe fat people. I find it.................

Sorry, cannot write any more, the 'Big Boned Police Squad' have just arrived at the front door.

Speaking as a fat person, I'm offended by the police state's attempt to single me and other fat people as a minority. I don't fell included in society any more, I demand disproportionate representation and a special focus group.

Wonko, would a "Fat Council of Britain" help reduce the sense of alienation you clearly feel?

It would not be elected by fat people but would be a mouthpiece for fat people around the country. It would be given access to Government at Ministerial level and I'm sure anti-fat legislation could be considered if parliamentary time is available.
